As a member of the Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS), you are eligible for retirement under the following conditions …
Normal Retirement
Your normal monthly retirement benefits can begin at age 65 with ten years of creditable service.
Early Retirement
Early retirement monthly benefits can begin at age 60 with ten years of creditable service. Retirement before age 65 results in a reduction of ½ of 1% for each month you are under age 65.
Disability Retirement
If you are currently employed by the school system, have 15 or more years of creditable service, and become permanently disabled, you may apply for disability retirement. |
