Emotional and Behavioral Disorders

Characteristics
The Emotional and Behavioral Disorders program serves students who exhibit frequent, intense and lasting atypical and/or inappropriate behaviors that interfere with the student’s learning. Behaviors involved may include an inability to maintain interpersonal relationships, unexplained inability to learn, pervasive moods of unhappiness or depression, or a tendency to develop physical pains/symptoms/fears.
Evaluations/Assessments
The eligibility report should include the following:
- Documentation of prior services
- Psychological reports and educational evaluations
- Report of behavioral observations over a significant period of time including duration, frequency, and intensity (FBA collection and analysis)
- Appropriate social history
